Rob Jacquette, PE, PTOE, named Young Engineer of the Year for 2016

Rob Jacquette, PE, PTOE, Director of Traffic/ITS, was named the Young Engineer of the Year for 2016 by the Georgia Society of Professional Engineers. Rob has been with Wolverton since serving as a summer intern during college. Upon graduation, Rob joined Wolverton full time in the traffic department, working his way from Project Engineer to Project Manager to Department Director, the youngest Director in the firm.

Rob truly takes his leadership role to heart, providing excellent business development, people management and technical knowledge. He has served as Project Manager and Project Engineer on numerous projects for the firm, including serving as Corridor Manager and Maintenance Manager on the RTOP contracts for which Wolverton is a subconsultant. His constant focus on making his department better has led to improvements in the organizational structure and business methods. Rob’s greatest strength in business development is his ability to talk to and connect with people from both government clients – the core of Wolverton’s traffic engineering business – and fellow engineers from other firms who serve as teaming partners.

Outside of the company, Rob is actively involved in the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Georgia Chapter and the Georgia Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), Georgia Intelligent Traffic Society (ITS) and the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). When not working or volunteering, Rob is a loving husband and father to two young daughters, Sophie and Paige. He enjoys spending time with his family, teaching his daughters and watching them grow and playing golf when there is time.
