Wolverton & Associates announces that Thomas (Tom) True, PE, LS, has joined our team as Director of Land Surveying and Subsurface Utility Engineering in our Atlanta headquarters. As a licensed Professional Engineer and Land Surveyor with a background in construction, he brings 30 years of diverse experience in the AEC industry. He will focus on elevating our land survey and subsurface utility engineering practices and strengthening the firm’s foothold in the power, energy and utility sectors in the Southeast.
Tom has strong relationships in the power, energy and utility markets and over the course of his career has worked on projects of all types and sizes – from residential septic systems to multi-state, high-pressure natural gas pipelines and long high-voltage power lines – all along the East Coast.
“Tom is an invaluable addition to our team. He brings a strong focus on relationship-building, both internally and externally, and business development and will help strengthen Wolverton’s presence in the energy, power and utility sectors,” said Joe Macrina, Wolverton’s Chief Operating Officer. “One of Tom’s strengths is his ability to problem-solve strategically and build strong client relationships, which will help us continue to grow our service offerings and expand our geographic and industry footprints.”
Prior to joining Wolverton, Tom served as Director of Surveying and similar leadership roles with various engineering and surveying firms in Georgia and the Northeast. Tom is licensed in four states as a professional engineer and is currently licensed as a land surveyor in Florida and Georgia. He has a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire.
“I am excited for the opportunity to continue to grow Wolverton’s already successful land surveying and SUE practices by focusing on expanding my existing relationships and helping to develop new ones,” said Tom. “The leadership team is focused on growth, and I am passionate about building this department into a regional group providing efficient, high-quality field and office work.”
